It is hoped ambulance response times in Sussex will improve when a new category system is introduced next week (22nd November).

Calls will be given a target time based on needs, meaning those in a critical situation will be prioritised.

Last year South Coast Ambulance Service was put in special measures after almost half of all critical emergencies weren’t attended to within eight minutes.
