A Crawley mountaineering club is being investigated after allegations of indecent offences.

Now defunct, the informal project was around during the early 1970s for young people interested in mountaineering.

A 70-year-old man has been released under investigation, after being interviewed about assaults on a boy then aged in his early teens.

Investigator Lucy Hailes said; “We are investigating allegations of indecent offences involving this project and would like to talk to anyone who has any information about it.
