A drink-driver found asleep in his car has been disqualified from driving.
28 year old Peter Lebigre had driven for two miles on three wheels damaging the road surface before stopping his vehicle in the middle of the A281 near Horsham where he then fell asleep.
The vehicle was missing the front nearside wheel and the rear nearside tyre was completely flat.
An off-duty police officer woke up the driver at which point he attempted to speed away. The officer, however, seized the keys and held onto them until police arrived.
Peter Lebigre was charged with drink-driving and possession of cannabis.
He has been disqualified from driving for three years, sentenced to a 12-month community order during which time he must carry out 80 hours of unpaid work, and has been ordered to pay £85 costs and a £85 victim surcharge.
