A consultant in special care dentistry at East Surrey Hospital has been awarded an MBE in The Queen’s Birthday Honours.  

Mili Doshi has been awarded a Member of the Order of the British Empire for services to dentistry.

Recently Mili initiated and led the introduction of Mouth Care Matters, a training initiative to improve the oral health of hospitalized adult patients.  Following a successful pilot at East Surrey Hospital, the Mouth Care Matters team is working with 30 Trusts nationally to introduce the programme.
