Following yesterday’s news on Susy Radio of an attempted armed robbery at Stone Quarry post office in East Grinstead, Sussex Police have issued details of another robbery in the town, this time at a cash machine.
A man and a woman were approached next to the cash machine by two people on a moped. The incident occurred in London Road at around 11.30 pm on Monday 18th June. One of the suspects was described as white, in his mid 20s with short black hair, wearing a grey hoodie, holding what was believed to be a knife. The second man was described as being in his mid 20s wearing a black hoodie with the hood up.
Two boys aged 15 and 16, both from East Grinstead were arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery and released under investigation. A 22 year old man from the town was arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery, driving without insurance, driving without a licence and riding a motorcycle without a helmet. He was also released under investigation.
