A drink-driver from Smallfield who killed her partner and injured two others has been jailed.
30 year-old Robyn Smith crashed her Nissan Micra into a parked lorry whilst more than three times over the legal limit.
Her 34 year-old partner, Anghelus-Adi Pieptea of Crawley, died as a result of the collision.
A 22 year-old passenger from Kenley sustained life-changing injuries and a 20 year-old passenger from Copthorne suffered minor injuries.
During police interview, Smith claimed she ‘felt fine to drive’ and therefore did not book a taxi home after her work Christmas party.
She pleaded guilty to causing death by dangerous driving and causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
Smith was sentenced to four years and four months, and three years and six months in prison respectively, to run concurrently.
She was also disqualified from driving for five years.
