A man has been prosecuted for flytipping in Limpsfield.
Marcos de Souza of Rotherhithe failed to respond to Council demands and did not attend the court hearing.
De Souza was contacted by Tandridge District Council after his white Ford transit van was spotted parked next to a pile of items on Titsey Road. A passing motorist made a note of the registration number. Minutes later, another witness noticed the items dumped on the side of the road and took photographs of the waste.
De Souza was fined £2,000 for the flytipping, £500 for failing to comply with Notices and ordered to pay £170 to the victim support fund, plus the Council’s legal costs of £624.
