Two people who were arrested following drone incursions at Gatwick Airport last week, were released without charge yesterday. Sussex Police said that both people fully co-operated with their enquiries and are no longer suspects in the drone incidents at Gatwick.
Flights were suspended for more than 36 hours when a device was first spotted close to the runway on Wednesday night. About 1,000 aircraft were either cancelled or diverted, affecting about 140,000 passengers, during three days of disruption.
Gatwick Airport has offered a £50,000 reward through Crimestoppers for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the criminal act that disrupted flights.
If anyone has information they are asked to contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
