A new member of Crawley’s police force has spoken about tackling a drunken motorist on her fourth shift.
PC Charlie Boyce is part of 70 officers who were funded by the rise in council tax.
The motorcyclist attacked two of her colleagues as he resisted arrest.
She says she was “proactive” and “put everything I learned into practice”.
Sussex Police released details about the incident, as the Police Commissioner is considering a further rise in tax.
That will be debated at a meeting next month.
