Surrey County Council has confirmed the closure of 31 children’s centres in Surrey.

The Council has to find more than £200,000,000 of savings by 2021, some of which it attributes to government funding cuts.

Its cabinet voted the approval of the  closures and to reduce bus travel concessions, but has ruled out cuts to four of the threatened recycling centres.
