A pub in Redhill which has been empty for over a year is to be turned into flats.

The Abbott, opposite the railway station, will provide ten two-bedroom flats with a shop on the ground floor.

The conservation officer says the proposed building will round off the shopping parade better, as it eliminates the blank wall.

However, the officer also said the building should reference the look of the surrounding area.
