Staff at East Surrey Hospital have won an award.

The Mortuary team, led by Simon Rolfe, have been awarded the National Unsung Hero Award for Team of the Year.

The awards recognise non-medical NHS staff and volunteers who go above and beyond their call of duty.

Nominated for the Volunteer of the Year award at this year’s ceremony was Maria Hains.  Maria has been involved with Crawley Hospital for over 35 years.
