A local furniture re-use charity, Furnistore, has a new van thanks to a generous donation from a local supporter.  

The van will enable Furnistore to continue and increase its core service of collecting unwanted furniture from the public and delivering it to customers; many of whom struggle to afford the cost of furnishing their own homes.  The charity’s old van had become unreliable, resulting in service cancellations and delays. Ed Baker, Chair of Trustees said the charity hopes to reach more people now they have a reliable delivery vehicle.

As well has helping those most in need, the charity saves tons of waste from landfill each year and also sells surplus items at affordable prices to the public to fund their overheads.
