West Sussex drivers are being urged to avoid the ‘fatal four’ after Emergency services dealt with five serious road traffic collisions in 12 hours during Sunday night and Monday morning.
West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service and Sussex Police are reminding drivers ahead of the bank holiday weekend of the four common causes of road accidents in the UK.
They are;
- Inappropriate speed
- Using a mobile phone whilst driving
- Not wearing a seatbelt
- Drink/drug driving
The fire service is also encouraging drivers to carry out basic vehicle checks.
