Roadworks around Junction 8 of the M25 are to be postponed to avoid clash with works being carried out at Reigate Hill.

Highways England who was due to start work on the project that  would see the interchange benefit from extra lanes and wider roads ,was scheduled to continue until this month but have revealed it would cause heavy congestion in a area that already sees problems during rush hour

There had been discussions of postponing the upgrade whilst negotiations continued over the cost of the project. Further details are expected soon about when the work will be rescheduled for.
