Police have located the vehicle they were seeking after a pedestrian died on the A22 at Whyteleafe on Thursday night.   Police had launched an appeal to find a BMW they believed may be connected to the incident.

Officers were called just after 10 pm last Thursday to the A22 Godstone Road at the junction with Hillside Road.  A pedestrian, a 30 year old man from Warlingham, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are still investigating the circumstances of how the man was injured and ask anyone with information or dashcam footage to call Surrey Police on 101.
