CCN’s figures show that the south east were able to spend just under £29,000 per mile on road repairs last year. In contrast, the 31 councils in London are able to spend over £62,000 per mile.
Matt Furniss, Surrey’s Cabinet Member for Highways has said that the funding from the government doesn’t reflect the wear and tear Surrey face.
