A woman’s body was found on the M25 on Saturday following a suspected hit-and-run.
The body of the 36 year-old pedestrian was found near to junction 9 at Leatherhead at 6.15 am. Her family has been informed. Surrey Police are trying to establish how the woman came to be injured on the carriageway. They believe she may have been involved in a collision with a vehicle that did not stop at the scene.
Anyone who saw the woman, who was wearing a maroon coat and trousers, should call Surrey Police on 101.
The road was closed clockwise between Reigate and Wisley for six hours on Saturday morning.
