West Sussex County Council has announced that it will not be operating face-to-face appointments to register a death for the time being.

Registering a death will now take place over the telephone and an appointment can be booked by the website.
Birth registrations have been postponed for 21 days from the 25th of March.

Parents can now make a claim for child benefit or Universal Credit prior to the birth being registered. Registration Services understand that parents will not be able to register a new birth within the normal 42 day period.
