A horse trapped in a metal gate has been rescued by West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service’s Technical Rescue Unit. 

The Unit was joined by the crew from East Grinstead Fire Station at the incident in Edenbridge. Crews found the horse with both of its front legs trapped in the metal bar gate which had come off its hinges.  The horse was sedated by a vet while officers cut through the bars on the gate.

After the ordeal, the vet checked over the horse and found it fortunately only suffered minor, superficial injuries.
