An investigation is underway after reports a man was seen with what looked like a shotgun in East Grinstead.

Police were called to Holtye Avenue last Tuesday after an alert about a man with what looked like a weapon accompanied by two other males.

No shots were fired, but it’s reported they were handed something by a passenger in a white car before they ran off.

Officers say they are particularly keen to speak to a woman in a striped white dress who may have seen something outside Holtye Avenue Parade.
