Tandridge District Council has welcomed the government’s announcement that it will provide a further £1.6 billion of funding for local governments, to help deal with the impacts of COVID-19.

The Council is set to receive almost £900,000 in funding, following the announcement on 18 April.

 This reflects the financial pressure being felt by councils as a result of residents following national guidance and staying at home.

The District Council will discuss the current situation, and the funding at the next online Strategy & Resources Committee meeting.
