A 41 year old man from Lingfield has been arrested in connection with the ongoing murder investigation following the discovery of the body of an elderly man in Godstone earlier this week.

He is currently in custody while enquiries continue.

The victim, who was identified as 88-year-old Dennis Kellond, was found at an address in Bletchingley Road just before 11am on Monday.
It was later revealed that he died as the result of a head injury.

Officers are pursuing a number of lines of enquiry but ask that anyone who was in the Bletchingley Road area of Godstone between Ivy Mill Lane and Knights Way between 10am and 3pm on Saturday, 25 April and who may have seen something suspicious, to come forward as a matter of urgency.
