Second Crawley Councillor quits Labour Party

A second councillor from Crawley has resigned from the Labour Party – leaving the Conservatives with the most seats on the borough council.

Rory Fiveash, who represents Bewbush and North Broadfield, announced his decision today.

It comes less than a day after fellow councillor, Karen Sudan, quit the party following allegations of anti-Semitism.

Meanwhile, Crawley Conservative MP Henry Smith said now was not the time for the local Labour Party to be engaged in “personality politics”.
