Surrey Police believe that two aggravated burglaries in Redhill and Coulsdon could be linked.
Both incidents took place on the night of Wednesday 15th July. Five burglars broke into a house on Elmwood Road in Redhill, demanded watches and jewellery and threatened the occupants with a hammer. Later four people broke into a house on Broad Walk in Coulsdon and stole cash and jewellery after threatening the occupants. A fifth man was seen in a car outside. No one was hurt at either incident.
A 26 year old man from Redhill arrested in connection with the first burglary, has been released from custody, but remains under investigation.
