Patients treated by Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust are among the highest contributors to coronavirus research studies in the country.  Clinical research studies require large numbers of patients, to have enough data to draw accurate conclusions. 

Clinicians have worked with patients to improve understanding of changes in treatment for various conditions including appendicitis and cancer surgery.
