A young deer had to be rescued after it ventured into a garden and became tangled in the back of a football goal.
RSPCA were called to a property in Nuthurst on Thursday to untangle netting which was wrapped around the animal’s neck and legs.
Animal welfare officer Marie Stevens helped free the distressed Doe who sprang up and trotted away. The charity advises any members of the public who find a trapped animal should not try to free it themselves but should call the RSPCA instead.
