A quick-thinking police officer has been praised after rescuing a distressed man from the River Thames.
Officers tried to engage with the man from the shore in the early hours of 6th August, but he was struggling to remain calm and started drifting downstream.
PC Tom Martis-Jones gained access to a powerboat from a nearby sailing club. Along with two other colleagues, they managed to rescue the man from drowning.
