Families across Surrey are being encouraged to talk about organ donation this week. Last year, 43 people across the county had their lives saved by a transplant, with many more still waiting for that all important and much needed phone call.

In May this year, the law around organ donation changed to an ‘opt out’ system. This means it will be considered that you are willing to donate your organs unless, you have opted out.

This week, the NHS are encouraging people to discuss organ donations with their families and make them aware of what it is you want to do.
