The boss of Cineworld has said its plan to close its cinemas in the UK and the US “is not a decision we made lightly”.
The cinema chain which has venues in Crawley and Eastbourne confirmed it would suspend its operations from Thursday, putting five and a half thousand UK jobs at risk.
Chief executive Mooky Greidinger says they did everything in their power to support a safe and sustainable reopening in all of their markets. A date for the reopening however has not yet been given.
