A Surrey landlord has been prosecuted by Mole Valley District Council for failing to comply with a Prohibition Order.

Alan Lavender, allowed tenants08 to continue living in the Newdigate property after receiving the order which required the home to be closed and no longer rented out,  due to disrepair.

He pleaded guilty at Guildford Magistrates Court last month. Lavender received  a two year conditional discharge.

He was also ordered to pay   £500 towards Mole Valley District Council’s legal fees a £20 victim surcharge.
