There are plans to redevelop Caterham on the Hill’s library into a new community space. This will include a new library, Family Centre and accommodation for care leavers.
A report to Surrey County Council’s Cabinet is due to be discussed at the next meeting next Tuesday. The process will be co-designed by The Council with residents, staff and local stakeholders.
The Family Centre will offer targeted services for children aged 0 to 11 and will act as a hub for services such as health visiting.
The redevelopment will also address the urgent need for suitable quality care leavers’ accommodation within Surrey. This will give better support for local young people rather than placing them out of the county.
