Although Stella Saunders is better known for her energy, costumes and stiletto’s, parents, teachers and passers-by all added their praises on the social media page ‘Memories of Redhill / Reigate’ after a parent posted, calling the lollipop lady “a legend” and “asset to the community”.

Susy Radio caught up with Stella and asked about her energy and of course the heels!
Stella went on to thank Susy Radio for giving her the opportunity to thank everyone and say “although I`m not on Facebook I was sent screen shots by a friend to read and have been humbled by the comments and feel privileged to have been part of so many people`s lives for all these years. Covid 19 brought with it lots of stress and health and safety issues which led to this difficult decision to protect my own well-being”.

Stella is not retiring, just moving to something different and you all will still see her about just not head to toe in yellow carrying a lollipop!
