Two people fined for breaking lockdown at Gatwick say they did so because they were bored.

The pair had driven down from London to the airport on Wednesday evening but were questioned by police.

When asked why they were breaching coronavirus restrictions they told officers they were, ‘bored, fed up with lockdown and didn’t believe in Covid.’

It’s as more people across the UK have been fined for breaking restrictions during this lockdown than in March last year.
