Gatwick Airport can apply for a government grant worth up to £8,000,000 to protect local jobs. 

Transport Secretary, Grant Shapps has announced the Support Scheme to help commercial airports to cover losses caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. This will include airfield operations, contracted services and business rate bills. 

Crawley’s MP, Henry Smith has welcomed the announcement and said the funding offers vital support for Gatwick Airport which supports so many jobs and businesses in Crawley.
