Police are urging people to be on their guard following an increase in distraction thefts at supermarket car parks across the region.

Thieves have been getting away with cash, jewellery, and expensive watches, as fraudsters approach people pretending, they are collecting for charity or asking them to sign a petition.

Officers across Surrey, Sussex and Thames Valley have been working together to catch the offenders.
