Two new conservation areas are being proposed in Crawley, along with plans to add around 60 buildings to the Local Heritage List and remove protections on two others.
The area at Queens Square and The Broadway and another at Gossops Green Neighbourhood Centre are both being proposed for conservation area status, while two buildings on High Street in Northgate stand to be removed from the Local Heritage List.
A consultation on the planned changes is underway and will run for the next six weeks.
Councillor Peter Smith, Cabinet member for Planning and Economic Development, said: “Consultations are an important way for you to have your say on what happens around the town. This is your chance to share your opinion on changes you would like to see to our heritage assets. So don’t miss out!”
