Gatwick’s £5 drop-off charge at South Terminal starts next week.

It will apply to all vehicles except those holding a blue badge and airport staff and will go to preserving jobs and recovering from the pandemic.

Those living in the local area will be able to pay a £50 yearly fee for two visits to the station each day.

It will bring the terminal in line with the North Terminal which introduced the same charges last month.

The charges are:

£5 for 10 minutes

£1 for each additional minute up to 20 minutes

£25 will be the maximum charge, with the maximum length of stay 30 minutes

 
The charges will be enforced by cameras which automatically recognise number plates.
