Newport County kept their place in the League Two play-off spots with a 2-0 win over Crawley Town.

Defender Liam Shephard scored early in the second half, with Aaron Lewis sealing the win with a goal during 10 minutes of extra time.

Crawley’s Tom Nichols was sent-off with a minute of normal time remaining.

Crawley Town places 12th in the tables.
