A climate activist charged over a protest at Horse Hill oil drilling site near Horley, has been cleared.
Lindsay Parkin from Brighton was cleared at Staines Magistrates Court of obstructing a person engaged in a lawful activity. He was one of two men charged after Extinction Rebellion protestors climbed an oil rig at Horse Hill last October. They hung a banner from a platform on the rig saying “No More Oil”. At an earlier hearing Alistair Sandell from Uckfield admitted aggravated trespass.
