Local bus services will have more capacity on its buses from today.  The Department for Transport has agreed new safety measures for buses and trains.

Metrobus has said that all forward-facing seats can now be used with people sitting side by side as on trains and the tube.  Passengers may also sit on side-facing seats.  Some safety measures remain; rear-facing seats and those within 2 metres of the driver must be empty and passengers are not allowed to stand.  Face coverings remain compulsory. Metrobus will continue its enhanced cleaning regime.

Local facilities re-open today in line with the Government’s roadmap out of lockdown.  The K2 Centre in Crawley has relaunched group exercise classes, and indoor adult group sports from today. The Hawth will begin hosting adult indoor workshops and classes with some restrictions on class sizes.  Indoor live performances start at the end of the month.
