A new project will improve biodiversity and help wildlife in open spaces in the East Surrey area.
Tandridge District Council’s rewilding project will trial different ways of mowing the grass by introducing wildflowers to parks and recreational areas. The project follows responses from last year’s Open Space Strategy consultation which showed residents want to encourage more biodiversity.
The rewilding project will be trialled at Broadham Green near Oxted, Hurst Green near St Agatha’s Hall, and Talbot Road Recreation Ground in Lingfield, as well as other open spaces in Tatsfield, Warlingham and Caterham.
