A 16 year old boy was left with a serious facial injury at the weekend after being assaulted in Caterham. 

Police were called to an address in Coldstream Road in the early hours of Sunday morning after the boy was attacked by a group of males following a verbal altercation.  The boy was punched by one of the group and then hit in the face with a bottle by another, leaving him with a significant wound. 

The victim was taken to hospital for specialist treatment.
