Several councils across West Sussex including Crawley and Worthing are asking private landlords and lettings organisations, to complete a survey on how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected their tenants.
The end of furlough and increase in unemployment has placed many people in private housing under financial pressure.
Anyone who is at risk of homelessness is encouraged to contact the council urgently.
