West Sussex Trading Standards are carrying out checks across the county, following concerns over the safety of a chainsaw accessory disc, that has been sold for use with angle grinders.

The attachments are not designed to be used together and are likely to cause loss of control, which could result in serious injury or even fatality.

The trading standards team will be contacting hardware stores although it is believed most had been sold online by overseas sellers.
