290 new places have been introduced by Surrey County Council for schoolchildren with special needs.
The placements have been made alongside mainstream primary and secondary schools and is funded through an investment of just under £80 Million pounds.
The program which is being delivered inline with Surrey’s SEND Capital Program is hoping to create a total of 1,500 new specialist school places, within the counties-maintained specialist estate by 2030.
