A Dorking woman says she was unable to visit her sister in hospital who has cancer due to the fuel shortages in the county.
The woman who wishes to remain anonymous described the situation as “unbelievable”.
Her husband went out early Saturday morning to fill up as they didn’t have enough for the journey to Kent, only to find all three petrol stations in Dorking had no fuel available.
Long queues have been spotted at garages across Surrey, including Caterham and Horley despite motorists being urged not to panic buy.
