Building work has begun on a project to give Crawley Station a major facelift. 

The ticket office is about to undergo a transformation and a longer London-bound weatherproof platform canopy will be installed.  While the first phase is underway, a temporary station building will be used. 

As part of the wider scheme planned for the area around the station, a public footbridge over the railway will be repaired along with improvements to the station frontage.
