A man who was Tasered and arrested after driving his car the wrong way at Gatwick Airport has been released.

Police said the car “repeatedly rammed police vehicles… to evade capture”.

The man was taken into custody for questioning and to be assessed for his vulnerabilities last Sunday.

The force confirmed he had been released under investigation pending further inquiries.
