Plans to improve care choices for older people in Surrey

Older people with complex needs in Surrey will be given greater choice over their care and support under a new plan for adult social care.

The county council will work with the NHS and private care providers to create more places in specialist facilities.

The plan was drawn up following input from hundreds of people including residents, unpaid carers, staff and providers.

It comes in line with the council’s ideas in  tackling inequalities in health and social care.
